IOBSE Celebrates Black History Month

The International Organization of Black Security Executives (IOBSE) was founded in 1982 by Black Security Executives concerned about the relatively small number of minority professionals, and the role black security professionals could have in helping young people.

Our 2020 Spring Conference “A Vision That’s 2020 – About Achieving More" will be held April 21 – 23, 2020 at Microsoft. As
we pay tribute to Black History Month I would like to recognize the
IOBSE, International Organization of Black Security Executives, for
making a profound difference in my life, and the lives of many other
security professionals. I joined the organization in 2009 because I
was inspired by their service to minority security professionals,
young professionals, and students. My affiliation with the IOBSE has
allowed me to network and learn from executives in a variety of
security fields both public and private. I have attended the IOBSE
Spring Conferences and benefited from the organization’s legacy of
networking, education, and giving back to students and the security
community. The organization continues to provide opportunities for
students and its members to participate in conferences where
leadership skills, technical skills, and networking are the focus. I
am honored to be the current IOBSE President, and I will continue
the work that Founders established.
