Cleveland, OH: Victoria's Secret 'precision shoplifters' indicted in Cleveland; $750,000 of merchandise from stores in 9 states
Four Florida residents accused of participating in a national lingerie shoplifting ring that targeted Victoria's Secret have ran into trouble in northeast Ohio this week. The four were indicted by a Cuyahoga County grand jury Wednesday, accused of stealing between $231,000 and $750,000 in merchandise from stores in nine states and mailing the goods back to Florida. Luis Perera, Maria Alvarez, Osmany Davis and Osmany Martinez are all charged with taking part in a conspiracy. They now face a 30 count racketeering indictment that includes charges of grand theft, aggravated theft and conspiracy. Prosecutors described them as "precision shoplifters." cleveland.com

Newkirk, OK: Lowe's bust 3 member of an ORC ring hitting stores
for over $250,000

Warrants are issued for Marlon Lamont Lee, Tori Louise Bryant and Kaivon Tramell. Law enforcement reports the three are part of a gang that have been stealing from Lowe's Home Improvement locations across Kansas and Oklahoma for the past three years. Lowe's Regional Loss Prevention and Operations Support Manager, contacted police about surveillance footage from the Ponca City store. Brian Swon, Lowe's Loss Prevention and Operations Support Manager for the Oklahoma City market told police that members of the Pollard Group have stolen over $250,000 worth of merchandise from Lowe's Stores located throughout Oklahoma over the course of the past three years. poncacitynews.com

Two accused in $100,000 retail theft ring, used 14-year-old son in operations
Louisville Metro Police arrested two people from Clarksville, Ind. accused of using their 14-year-old son as part of a large retail theft ring to get money to buy narcotics. Bartley Gorman, 36, and Mary O'Hara, 30, allegedly stole more than $100,000 worth of items, including at least $30,000 from The Home Depot during the months of July, August, and September, according to arrest citations. Police said that they would load up shopping carts with merchandise and push them past checkout without paying, according to court records. They would then return the items for gift cards and cash the gift cards for money to use to purchase narcotics. In at least one of the cases, they used their 14-year-old son to steal the property, records show. He was also present with his parents when drugs were bought and used.  courier-journal.com

Two charged in $8,000 theft of baby formula from Walmart
A couple accused of stealing more than $8,000 worth of baby formula from Wal-Mart in South Jackson were arraigned Friday in Jackson City Court. Rebecca Gilham, 21 and Christopher Graham, 27, are charged with several counts of theft of $1,000.
