Southwest Miami-Dade father and son were taken into custody after police
found a massive credit card fraud scheme taking place inside their home
Miami-Dade Police arrested 56-year-old Luis Perez and his 32-year-old son
Jose early Thursday morning off SW 149th Place and 37th Street after an
investigation that lasted several months. Inside the home, officers found
thousands of fake credit and gift cards along with skimmers and printing
devices for making the fraudulent cards, estimating they found about $50,000
in stolen gift cards alone. Also inside the home was over 200 pages worth of
names and social security numbers of potential identity theft victims as
well as drugs, including 14 grams of crystal meth.

release surveillance of T-Mobile Armed Robbery, suspects fled with $21,000
of merchandise
Police responded to the report of an armed robbery at a T-Mobile store on
Monday, August 22, 2016. At approximately 8:00 p.m., three men entered the
T-Mobile store. One of the three males brandished a firearm and the two
employees were taken into the stockroom where the inventory of cell phones
are stored. The perpetrators gathered more than 45 devices, valued in excess
of $21,000.00 and fled the store on foot.

Johnstown, PA: Man
arraigned in 3 retail theft cases, hit Walmart and Tractor Supply
A 21-year-old Johnstown man was arraigned Thursday by on-call District Judge
Sandra Stevanus of New Centerville in three retail theft cases. Benjamin
Cody Schmidtetter, of Dorothy Avenue, is accused of stealing merchandise
from Wal-Mart and Tractor Supply in Somerset Township in July.
