Five busted for stealing $32,000 of merchandise
from Bealls over several months
Five people were arrested Tuesday for stealing $13,000 in merchandise from
Bealls over a period of time, Laredo police said. A store manager stated
that one of the employees had been stealing from the store since early May.
The manager alleged Angel Perez, 23, would have several items at the
checkout counter but would only charge one small item while he gave the rest
to a friend, according to police. Surveillance footage from the store
allegedly captured the moment when Perez sold items to an individual, LPD
said. Each was charged with theft and engaging in organized criminal
activity.

employee arrested for theft of $11,000 of merchandise
Police responded to Best Buy at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday to a report of theft. An
employee stole more than $11,000 in merchandise.

Police: Phoenix Woman
accused of 16 thefts at Target stores in 5 Valley cities over 34 days
Court records show that from July 19 to August 22, 29-year-old Molly Johanna
Keller stole over $4,000 worth of products from various Target stores around
the Valley.
Police report that in cooperation with Target investigators, they used store
and pawn shop surveillance video to tie Keller to 16 thefts of Target stores
in Mesa, Glendale, Phoenix, Gilbert and Scottsdale. Keller would typically
take Polaroid printers, computer hard drives, modems and Apple TV receivers
and bring them to various pawn shops to sell, still unopened. Police say the
total value of the items taken was just over $4,098.34.

Durham, NC: Man wanted
for selling Counterfeit Goods, charged with Organized Retail Theft
Durham police are trying to locate 39-year-old Robby Harris Ertimi who is
wanted on numerous charges involving the sale of counterfeit clothing and
other goods. The charges are the result of an organized retail theft
investigation involving the Durham, Raleigh and Cary Police departments.

Hammond, IN: Police seeking id of Lowe's $1,200
shoplifter
Local law enforcers are asking for the public's help in identifying a man
wanted for theft of merchandise at a home improvement store. Shortly after 7
p.m. Aug. 19, a man was captured on video surveillance leaving the Lowe's
Home Improvement store in Hammond with a proximately $1,200 of unpurchased
merchandise.

Slidell, LA: Dillards shoplifters interrupt
detective's lunch; $1,200 in merchandise recovered
Three suspected shoplifters were at the wrong place at the wrong time
Tuesday afternoon. A detective was on his lunch break and said he became
suspicious when he saw several people running out of the Dillards in
Slidell. He said the group jumped into car and left quickly. Deputies said
the three suspects had just stolen more than $1,200 worth of merchandise
from the store. After a short chase all 3 suspect were arrested.

Pana, IL: Two Walmart
thieves in custody using Fire Exit
Pana PD says the two subjects who are allegedly responsible for entering a
Pana Walmart on Monday and removing numerous items through an emergency exit
door are now in custody. Taylorville police found stolen items in their
apartment and their car.
