Reno, NV: Three arrested in string of Office Depot

The Northern Nevada Repeat Offender Program arrested three people it says were
involved in stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Reno and
Sparks office supply stores using lookouts and getaway drivers. The three
suspects were arrested Thursday after they ran out of the Office Depot in Reno
with over $1,000 in supplies. There was a vehicle waiting for their escape, but
detectives stopped them prior to leaving the parking lot. Police say they have
been linked to similar thefts at two other Office Depot locations.

guilty in retail theft ring; 60 incidents in a dozen area stores
Four suspects have pleaded guilty to their role in a retail theft ring that
involved more than 60 incidents targeting nearly a dozen stores in the
Pittsburgh area. Authorities said the four were involved in more than 60 thefts
from a number of Marshalls and TJ Maxx stores in the Pittsburgh area -- in
Collier, Homestead, Monroeville, Pittsburgh, Richland, Robinson, Ross, Scott,
West Mifflin, Cranberry, and Peters. Loss prevention specialists along with
Allegheny County and Cranberry police identified the suspects through store
surveillance and return records.

Hermantown, MN: Three face felony charges in Mills
Fleet Farm shoplifting
Three men face felony charges after an alleged shoplifting spree at the new
Mills Fleet Farm store in Hermantown. Police said the suspects were apprehended
on Tuesday afternoon - just six days after the store opened its doors - after
they allegedly removed security devices and stole a number of items, including
clothing, sunglasses, binoculars, tools and knives.
