laundering Five individuals were arrested
Tuesday, June 12 in Clarksville on money laundering and theft charges.
Separate arrest warrants for each suspect list them as owners/operators of
five different businesses in Clarksville. Over $10,000 of stolen property
was allegedly purchased by these business owners on multiple dates over the
past few months.

Castleton, IN: Smash-and-grab robbers hit
Gander Mountain for guns Thieves
rammed a pick-up truck through a door and made off with 10 guns from Gander
Mountain in Castleton early Tuesday. The suspects smashed a pick up through
a rear overhead door and stole rifles and shotguns from the sporting goods
shortly before 3 a.m. The suspects took eight long guns and two shotguns.
They fled in the vehicle, which should have heavy front-end damage.

Troy, MI: Second Smash &
Grab hits Somerset Mall in a month; one suspect in custody, others at large
Troy police are investigating after a smash-and-grab robbery at Saks Fifth
Avenue reported Sunday ended with one suspect in custody and at least two
others on the loose. Authorities report that sometime around 6 p.m. Sunday,
at least two suspects broke into the Saks Fifth Avenue store and left the
mall in two separate cars. Authorities did not immediately share what, if
anything, was stolen from the retailer. Two police pursuits ensued, with the
suspects driving in different directions, according to Police. An Oakland
County Sheriff's Office tracking dog unit was called to search for at least
two suspects who abandoned the car after the collision, but officers were
unable to find them. Later, one of the suspects was arrested. Troy officials
say they are looking for at least two additional suspects in the incident,
and possibly more. No other injuries were reported. Detectives are now
looking at store surveillance footage and are expected to release stills
within the next few days of other possible suspects in the Saks Fifth Avenue
incident, authorities say. The recent robbery is the second smash-and-grab
in a month at a high-end Somerset retailer.

Shiloh, IL: Washington
Park man charged in multiple theft from multiple Target locations in St
Clair County The St. Clair County State's
Attorney's Office charged Donavon D. Brady on Thursday with two felony
counts of retail theft over $300. Shiloh police said Brady was in custody at
the county jail on a state-issued warrant at the time he was charged. In a
news release, the Shiloh Police Department said it received a theft report
on July 3 at Target. Brady was also identified as a suspect in a previous
theft from the same Target location on April 25. Brady has had multiple
prior charges for retail theft in the metro-east, including alleged thefts
as recent as 2016 and dating back to 2014 in Fairview Heights, Cahokia and
Belleville.

42 stolen items from True Value Hardware A
Great Barrington man is facing charges for allegedly stealing about $800
worth of items from Carr Hardware over the weekend. Joshua Johnston, 24, was
arrested about 3:18 a.m. Saturday after Police noticed suspicious activity
at the rear of the store at the south end of Main Street. Police stopped
Johnston as he was leaving the parking lot and found a large amount of
stolen property - 42 items in all - in his vehicle. Johnston is facing one
count each of breaking and entering into a building at night, a felony,
wanton destruction of property, receiving stolen property and larceny over
$250.

South Strabane Township,
PA: Man charged in $900 theft from Lowe's and $200 hit at Walmart
Steven R. Parsons, 32, of North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County, was
charged with two counts each of retail theft and theft by deception stemming
from separate incidents at two stores. He is accused of stealing items from
Walmart June 25 and returning the merchandise for a $200 gift card. On July
6, he allegedly stole two power washers valued at $994 from Lowe's, Strabane
Square. Police said he walked to customer service and returned the items in
exchange for a gift card.

arrested on ORC Charges relating to Kohl's thefts
Bryan M. Brunelle, 34, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. on June 4, 2016, for
organized retail crime enterprise and receiving stolen property (less than
$1,000). Also arrested was Timothy M. Smith, 35, was charged with organized
retail crime enterprise. They were arrested after allegedly shoplifting
items from Kohl's on Cluff Crossing Road.

WI: Walmart Vacuum Cleaner thief busted; want for thefts in Illinois and
Wisconsin Anthony Jett went into Wal-Mart,
with a small female child in a stroller on Jan. 12. Jett allegedly placed a
Dyson V6 Slim handheld vacuum cleaner into the back of the stroller and
passed the checkout lines. At the door, Jett was stopped by the greeter who
asked him about the vacuum. Jett then gave the vacuum to the greeter and
then left the Wal-Mart. The value of the vacuum was $279. The officer
investigating the case was informed that the Vernon Hills Police Department
in Lake County, Ill., had a suspect who was doing the same type of retail
thefts. After comparing a photo from the Mount Pleasant Wal-Mart theft, Jett
was identified as the suspect in the Illinois case. Jett also has similar
cases in Kenosha County.

Joplin, MO: Three sought
in Sears shoplifting at Northpark Mall; suspects pull stun gun
Police have been seeking the public's assistance in identifying and
locating three people involved in a shoplifting incident Sunday at the Sears
store in Northpark Mall. Two men and a woman allegedly left the store
without paying for about $600 worth of baby clothing and other items. When a
store employee tried to stop them outside the business, one of the trio kept
the employee at bay with a stun gun.

crime gang stole $65,000 of designer clothes in raids on Oxford Street shops
A Portuguese Crime Gang involving up to 50 people stole almost $65,000
in designer clothes by "swarming" high street stores. The group, dressed all
in black, raided a series of luxury brand name stores near London's Oxford
Street in under an hour during the Boxing Day sales. They got away with
$2,600 worth of jeans from Levi's, $6,500 from G-Star Raw and $53,000 worth
of 'black label' items from Ralph Lauren. Between each event you regrouped
and then executed the next raid in a calculated way.
