Neiman Marcus Handbags Worth More Than $35K Gone in 60 Seconds
It took about a minute for two men and a woman to take off with a dozen
high-end handbags worth more than $35,000 from Neiman Marcus. According to
the store's loss prevention agent, the three suspects entered the Northbrook
Court store at about 10:46 a.m. June 22 and made a beeline to the handbag
area, the report stated. Once in that section of the store, the trio swiped
12 Celine bags costing $35,900 and escaped to an awaiting vehicle.

charged with coordinated $7,000 return fraud at TJ Maxx and Marshalls
Manheim Township Police have charged seven individuals with working
together to steal nearly $7,000 in merchandise from two Lancaster retailers
and then returning the merchandise for fraudulent refunds. The thefts were
reported between March 2 and May 7 at the Marshalls on Lititz Pike and TJ
Maxx on Plaza Boulevard in the city. A police investigation has led to
charges against 7 individuals.

Us scam nets Calif. man prison time

Joseph Julian Jr. is, as the song says, goin' back to Cali. California, that
is. Julian will be transferred back to his home state via a prison bus
transportation service to begin serving the 1 1/2 to three year term he
earned with a guilty plea to theft, retail theft, and conspiracy charges,
and to continue serving a three years term for similar crimes in the Golden
State. That was part of the arrangement that the prosecution negotiated with
Julian's attorney in return for his acceptance of responsibility for a
sophisticated and complicated scam at several area Toys R Us stores that
netted Julian and three women more than $10,000 in cash and $2,700 in
merchandise.
