Having been
recognized earlier this year for his leadership and management
abilities, Tim Gates was promoted to Vice President of Sales for
Alpha North America. He was an important contributor to Alpha's
record year in 2010, and has made a significant impact in his 16
years with the company. Having
spent 6 years prior to that with Sensormatic, Tim has watched
and played a role in the industry's evolution. Grounded in
the principles of doing what's best for his customer and always
positioning himself as the customer's consultant, Tim strongly
believes that his role is to deliver the absolute best product
and best price to his customer each and every day.
Under Larry Yeager's
leadership, Tim is proud to point out that that they've built a
very diverse "phenomenal team" who all share the same high
values and passion for what they do and for the impact they can
make on the industry. With their core philosophy over the years
of creating a family oriented environment, they've been able to
develop a group of individuals and executives who truly

As one of the leading solution providers for High
Theft Solution products in the industry today, Tim credited
Larry's leadership, their team, and their emphasis on innovation
as the driving forces behind their success. Given their early
beginnings of being focused on the CD retailers, they found
themselves, like so many others, impacted by technology many
years ago which fueled their focus on innovation and
reinforced their commitment to always listening and hearing
their customers.
With technology continuing to
impact our world, Tim talks to the importance they've placed on
integrating their engineering team into the very fabric of the
retail Loss Prevention industry and community by ensuring that
the engineers, themselves, maintain a front row seat with
participating in the various conferences and establishing face-to-face relationships with the retailers. To them, the priority
is to hear and know what the retailers need and where the
retailers are going and to give them the support they need to
get there.
Alpha is working on several new
product rollouts currently and, while Tim was quick to point out
he'd have to shoot the writer if he shared any of it, we're
certain that with their historical achievement of always
delivering a return on investment within 12 months , that
their new products will add value and deliver results.
