Two Cuban Nationals plead
guilty to Burglary of Outlet Stores in 6 States; $500,000 of merchandise stolen
from Fossil, Movoda, Michael Kors U.S. Attorney
for the District of CT and FBI today announced Alionis Perez, 40, a citizen of
Cuba last residing in NJ, and Yoandrys Cue, 30, a citizen of Cuba last residing
in FL, have pleaded guilty in Hartford federal court to engaging in a conspiracy
to burglarize outlet stores in six states between Aug and Nov 2013. Perez also
pleaded guilty to engaging in a separate conspiracy to burglarize stores in KS
and TN in Aug 2014. Cue pleaded guilty on May 20, 2016, and Perez pleaded guilty
on Monday.

Olympus employee waives hearing on $336K Camera theft
Richard Sasserath gave up his right to a preliminary hearing Monday on
charges he stole and sold $336,000 worth of cameras that he was supposed to give
away as promotional gifts. In December 2014 a member of the Olympus Internal
Audit team discovered an ongoing theft of camera equipment. Authorities said
Sasserath admitted to police that from 2011 to 2014, he took camera equipment
without authorization and sold it online.

Raton, FL: Macy's employee defrauds store of $70K to impress girlfriend
Boca police arrested Joe Gerard Dieudonne, 55, of Fort Lauderdale, Friday
night on charges of grand theft and organized fraud. Dieudonne conducted a
return in the amount of $614.67 for a customer who only had $164.10 worth of
merchandise, police said. After being questioned by store security officers,
Dieudonne allegedly admitted to giving merchandise to his girlfriend of seven
months. He pretended to scan merchandise and allowed his girlfriend to leave
without paying, police said. Dieudonne also processed receipts from previous
purchases, placing money on the woman's credit cards and he issued fraudulent
gift cards and cash purchases, police said. In all, he allegedly gave his
girlfriend about $54,000 worth of merchandise and conducted fraudulent returns
in the amount of $15,863.29, police said. The report does not indicate whether
Dieudonne's girlfriend will face any charges.

Township police said a woman and two men entered the store around 11 a.m.
Friday and filled two shopping carts with merchandise, including the formula,
and walked out without paying.

times Police say that between March 21 and April
20, the unknown man is suspected of shoplifting at least nine times, totaling
over $1,000 at various convenience stores in the areas of Deep Creek and Western

Hill, CA: Police seek a Target Shoplifter connected to 3 thefts this month
Although police can't say for sure, the same man may be responsible in three
different incidents this month. The latest case happened shortly before 7 p.m.
Sunday when the man went into the store in Morgan Hill. He cut off tags on
electronic items before placing them into a bag. Morgan Hill police confronted
the man outside the store, but he fled on foot. A man matching the general
description also stole from the same Target store at the Gilroy Crossing
Shopping Center on May 11 and May 14. During his second visit, he stole $1,300
worth of electronics.
