Snohomish,
WA: Two pairs of organized retail theft suspects swiped $15,000 worth of
sunglasses
The North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit is hoping you can identify two
couple's accused of stealing $15,000 worth of expensive eyeglasses from the
Sunglass Hut at the Seattle Premium Outlet Mall in Tulalip. A man with a tote
bag grabs several pairs of glasses and brings them over near a woman standing by
the display cases. Then watch as he swings his bag around and she starts putting
the glasses in it, one expensive pair after another. Once they've swiped more
than $15,000 worth of shades they take off - and detectives say they weren't
working alone. "It looked like one couple first came in, kind of distracted the
sales clerk, which is typical of these types of groups doing organized retail
theft. One couple will distract the sales clerk, while the other couple does
their stealing, their shoplifting. They actually did some shoplifting over at
the Adidas store right after this where they're caught on camera running out of
the store.
