ring of four busted hitting CVS in Albemarle, N.C.
Albemarle Police arrested four people who they say are part of an organized
retail theft ring. On Monday night, police were called to the CVS in Albemarle
on reports of a theft. Officers located the suspects down the road and found
trash bags full of toiletries over-the-counter medication and other items that
had been stolen from CVS and other drug stores in the area recently, police say.
All four were charged with organized retail theft.

San Francisco police said approximately seven to nine women and men jumped out
of one or two SUVs a couple of blocks away from the store. There is surveillance
video of them getting away, but investigators have a reason for not releasing it
yet. There is no broken glass or signs of forced entry outside the store.
Officials said brazen thieves walked into the store Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.,
grabbing at least $10,000 worth of merchandise before taking off.

Costa Mesa, CA: Man flees Apple store with $5,000 in iPhones
A thief dashed out of an Apple store in South Coast Plaza with at least 10
iPhones on Wednesday night, police said. A man, who may be in his 20s, walked
into the store shortly before 7:20 p.m. and took 10 to 15 iPhone 6 models that
were on display, said Sgt. Doug Johnson of the Costa Mesa Police Department.

Willowbrook, NJ: Sephora Loss Prevention nabs $750 cosmetic thief
Feb. 5, at 9:05 p.m. Store security informed police that Christina Stefanelli,
44, of Clifton, had been observed placing multiple assorted cosmetics valued at
$752 in her purse and leaving the store without paying. Stefanelli was arrested
and a search revealed four Suboxone pills without a prescription.

Tulsa, OK: Woman accused of using infant to assist in $700 Target shoplifting
spree
Officers said Jennifer Gerber was caught at Target trying to steal nearly $700
in items. Police said Gerber placed the baby over the stolen items trying to
hide them. Gerber now faces several charges, including child endangerment.

City, AZ: Two females busted at Walmart on ORC Charges, self-checkout/refund
scam
Store employees reported that two female subjects who had shoplifted there
earlier in the day and on several prior days had returned. On those occasions,
the pair reportedly used the self-checkout register and did not scan all the
items. They also used barcodes of cheaper items than the ones they took. Store
employees reported that one of the suspects returned to customer service items
that she had not paid for and received cash.
