Barboursville, WV: Kay Jeweler hit with Fraudulent charge for $7,500
Kay Jewelers at the Huntington Mall reported Monday that an unknown woman opened
a fraudulent credit account and purchased $7,557.04 in jewelry on Jan. 4. The
company's fraud department would assume the loss and not bill the victim, whose
name was fraudulently used. No suspects are known and the investigation is
ongoing.

Louisville, KY: Police seize $3,000 of stolen clothing from Marshall's and
others
Two people from Louisville, Ky., were arrested on Tuesday night,
suspected of stealing more than $3,000 in clothing from several Middle Tennessee
stores. At 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday plain-clothes Franklin Police Flex Team officers
working in the Cool Springs area saw Rodrecus Lee walk out of Marshalls, with
merchandise concealed under his jacket. After briefly stopping at his parked
car, Lee walked back into the store where he met up with Ebony White. Officers
stopped the couple as they exited the store together, and found them in
possession of tools used to remove anti-theft sensors. Inside their vehicle,
officers discovered more than $3,000 in stolen clothing from several Middle
Tennessee stores.

Wendell, NC: Five charged with Organized Retail Theft in $2,500 Gun Store theft
Police arrested five Henderson people in connection with an attempted theft
Tuesday afternoon at Perry's Gun Shop. About 3:15, two men entered the store.
One of the men, went to a display case containing gun scopes. He found the case
unlocked and took three scopes, valued at about $2,500, out of the case and ran
out the door with the other man. Once outside, the men jumped into a waiting car
and sped away. Police stopped the vehicle and arrested the 5 occupants.

Jose, CA: Police Looking for Nike Factory Store Theft Suspects
Police are looking for the public's help identifying four suspects seen on
surveillance video ripping off the Nike Factory Store in San Jose. In the clip,
recorded in December but not released until Wednesday, four men can be seen
walking into the Saratoga Avenue store. Police said the men walked out without
paying for the merchandise they were carrying.

Collier Co, FL: Miami man arrested in Naples in connection with alcohol
stolen from Publix
A Miami man wanted on felony warrants in two other counties was arrested by
Collier County Sheriff's deputies Tuesday after his friend was seen stealing
expensive wine and champagne from Publix. Daniel Espinosa, 21, faces charges of
fraud and driving with a suspended license. He also faces a slew of charges out
of Osceloa County for grand theft and battery and St. Lucie County for seven
theft-related charges including felony retail theft in concert with others.
Stephanie Marie Morales, faces charges of retail theft for taking wine and
champagne. Morales told deputies she was out on bond for stealing liquor in
Orlando and had previously been arrested in Miami for a similar crime. Inside
the vehicle, deputies found 12 bottles of champagne and wine in plain view and
30 more in the trunk. One of two other occupants Morales, was identified as the
woman seen taking alcohol from the supermarket.

DuPage Co, IL: Man Sentenced for Stealing More Than 1,800 Cases of Beer
Thomas Gibbons, 48, was sentenced to three years in prison for stealing 1,868
cases of beer, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney. Gibbons appeared
in court Wednesday and pleaded guilty to one count of theft and possession of
stolen merchandise. In October of 2012, 22 pallets of beer were stolen from
Chas. Herdrich and Son, a distributor located in McHenry. Investigators with the
DuPage County Sheriff's Office tracked the missing beer to a warehouse in
Bensenville.
