Somerset, PA: Four suspects arraigned in $11,000 Credit Card Fraud
Four people were arraigned Friday before District Judge Ken Johnson of Somerset on additional charges in a case involving fraudulent credit cards and retail theft. The additional suspects are being held in the Somerset County Jail, each in lieu of a $1 million bond. Toronto, CN: Police stuck on investigation into theft of $1,528 worth of chewing gum
Police in a city north of Toronto are chewing on a bizarre crime. York Regional Police say a man stole more than $1,500 worth of gum from a pharmacy in Markham, Ont., and they're hoping the public can help them identify the culprit. Investigators say the man went to the drug store on the evening of Dec. 17 and video surveillance shows he went to the candy aisle, filled a garbage bag with gum and left. A few moments later he re-entered the store, filled another garbage bag with chewing gum and walked out again.
