uncovered during stolen car traffic stop
Jackson County’s involvement began when deputies pulled over
a Chevy Equinox on Interstate 10 which fit the description
of one that had been stolen in the Central Florida community
of Apopka. When the local officers looked inside the
vehicle, they found jewelry and other items suspected to
have been stolen in this and/or other regions of the state.
According to a press release from the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office, Driggers, of Westville, has now also been
charged there with dealing in stolen property, burglary of a
dwelling and grand theft. Two other men have been arrested
in the multi-agency investigation, and authorities are
seeking a fourth. Washington County also pieced together the
suspects’ alleged involvement in residential burglaries in
nearby Holmes County as well as sales of stolen property and
shoplifting as far away as Central Florida, according to the
release. Investigators with that agency report that they
were able to recover thousands of dollars worth of stolen
property. The following individual is currently at large and
is being actively sought at the time of this release: Terry
