Woman charged with stealing $6K in baby formula from Kroger in
Louisville, KY. A Louisville woman has
been charged with stealing more than $6,000 worth of baby formula
over the course of a month. St. Matthews police say 18-year-old Ruby
Bard was arrested Saturday on a shoplifting charge after being
caught trying to leave a Kroger with a tub full of 41 cans of
formula. Bard was also caught on camera with the same tub stealing
formula on Aug. 25, 26 and 30, and Sept. 10 and 13. The value of the
41 cans of baby formula was reported to be $6,200. Police say Bard
had been caught shoplifting at a Kroger before and had been banned
from all of the company's stores. (Source

Eighteenth cigarette heist in Columbus, Ohio since July.
Investigators said on Monday that the same people are suspected in
at least 18 similar east side break-ins in the past three months.
Columbus Police said the thieves take these cigarettes and lottery
tickets, and they'll try to sell them out on the street or they'll
try to fence them to a corner carry-out. Police believe the total
from these burglaries is nearly $100,000. (Source
