Axis
Introduces First 60 Frames per Second Video Encoder Solution
on the Market |
AXIS Q7411 is ideal for surveillance
applications migrating from analog to IP video
and that value high frame rate, image quality and
performance
CHELMSFORD,
Mass. – ASIS International Booth #2622 – September 6,
2012 –
Axis Communications, the world leader in network
video, introduces a strong addition to its video encoder
family with the new
AXIS Q7411 Video Encoder. This one-channel video
encoder with outstanding video processing capabilities
up to 60 frames per second (fps) is the perfect solution
for analog CCTV installations migrating to IP video. The
video encoder, which will be showcased at
ASIS International 2012 in booth #2622, is ideal for
any application with high demands for frame rate, image
quality and performance, such as in casinos,
manufacturing plants and law enforcement surveillance
solutions.
Support for 60 fps provides smooth video in high motion
scenes and enables the user to closely follow details
and observe deviations in the monitored area, which is
of great importance during forensic investigations. AXIS
Q7411 can deliver multiple, individually configured
video streams simultaneously at full frame rate in all
resolutions, and the video encoder offers highly
efficient H.264 video compression format in both
Baseline and Main Profiles, affording significant
savings in bandwidth and storage. Motion JPEG is also
supported for increased flexibility.
"AXIS Q7411 Video Encoder sets a new standard for
single-channel video encoding performance," said Fredrik
Nilsson, general manager, Axis Communications, Inc.
"This new top-of-the line single-channel encoder
complements our existing encoder portfolio and provides
unmatched features and quality for about $100 less than
our previous Q-Line single-channel encoders. We can
thank Moore’s Law and dedication to R&D for that."
AXIS Q7411 supports key IP surveillance features such as
two-way audio, configurable I/O ports, edge storage with
the built-in microSD/microSDHC memory card slot and
Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af). For significant
installation savings, the video encoder enables PTZ
control over the coaxial cable in addition to standard
support for PTZ cameras using the serial ports.
The new video encoder also provides powerful event
management capabilities with embedded intelligent video
features such as tampering alarm, motion detection and
audio detection, in addition to support for
AXIS Camera Application Platform.
AXIS Q7411 is supported by AXIS Camera Station video
management software as well as the industry’s largest
base of application software through Axis’ Application
Development Partner program. Furthermore the video
encoder includes support for Hosted Video, ONVIF and
AXIS Camera Companion,
which was recently upgraded to include support for
audio, Corridor Format and Public View Monitors.
AXIS Q7411 Video Encoder is expected to be available to
order in October through Axis’ distribution channels at
the suggested retail price of $499. |
