RxPatrol - a web-based program to help combat pharmacy theft.
RxPatrol (which stands for Rx Pattern Analysis
Tracking Robberies & Other Losses) was started in 2003 and currently
boasts 6,390 members, 55 percent of them law enforcement. The
website includes a database where law enforcers, pharmacists, and
loss prevention officials can see where robberies have taken place.
"It’s a tool for pharmacists to be aware of what’s going on in their
neighborhood," said Luis Bauza, Purdue Pharma’s director of
investigations. (Source

ORC duo on their way across country hits three Wal-Mart stores
stealing electronics gets busted in Michigan
Larceny spree that spanned three Wal-Marts in as many states came to
an end in Woodhaven, Michigan, last week when two males were busted
loading flat-screen TVs into a shopping cart and heading for the
exit. They had already hit two other Wal-Marts in Ohio and
Pennsylvania and their stolen car was loaded with electronics. In
interviews with detectives, Bilkovsky and Lostraglio said they were
California-bound and made a detour through Michigan to see
Bilkovsky’s mother. Along the way, they admitted hitting three
Walmarts to steal electronics. (Source
