Colorado Organized Retail Crime Alliance- COORCA goes live on March 7th. Back on October 19th a group of retailers and law enforcement from Colorado got together to lay the groundwork for the Colorado Organized Retail Crime Alliance (COORCA). After many meetings and promotion of the group I am pleased to announce that on March 7th we will go live. The COORCA chair and membership group is made up of a select group of retailers and law enforcement that include Target, Safeway, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Walgreens, the 4th Judicial District Attorneys office, Lakewood Police, Westminster Police, the 18 Judicial District Attorneys office. For the first meeting there were 120 seats available. All seats were taken just days after registration opened. On the heels of the highly successful LAAORCA conference the momentum is there. COORCA will be the 15th site in the US dedicated to ORC. In true "Pay it forward" fashion LAAORCA founder Kent Oda was involved in the groundwork for COORCA and has continued to be a great partner. We all hope for a successful launch and to grow the movement in Colorado. www.corrca.org
