USS to Showcase New EAS
Strategy
at RILA Conference
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., (April 30, 2015) – The next step in the
evolution of EAS is coming to the RILA conference in Orlando, Fla., from May 3
to May 6, 2015. Termed the
Blending Strategy, the new approach allows retailers to significantly
increase visual deterrence and deploy EAS tags on more merchandise, while
staying within limited budgets. USS will be demonstrating the new strategy at
Booth 327.
“Our Blending Tags are design to confuse the thief,” said Craig Cunningham, USS’
vice president of business development. “They all look like triple-alarm tags,
with speakers, LED lights and aggressive look. However, exactly what technology
is inside, we leave that up to the retailer to decide based on their budget and
needs. What we have seen so far is that this approach works, both in reducing
shrink and helping the LP teams stay within their budgets.”
In addition to the Blending Strategy, USS will also showcase its
new measured approach to upgrading analog video systems to IP. According to
Gerald Becker, USS’ vice president for physical security, the new way of
transitioning to digital technology “allows companies to keep much of the
existing infrastructure in place to keep costs down, while still expanding
capabilities to take advantage of the new feature sets of IP systems.”
More information about both of these initiatives can be obtained at Booth 327,
