New Door-Mounted
EAS System
from USS Unveiled
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., (February 26, 2015) – USS has announced a
nationwide release of its new Blade EAS system. Being hailed as the perfect
solution for locations where floor pedestals are either impractical or not
allowed, the new system can be mounted on a door frame or a wall.
“The Blade sports a modern, thin design, that easily blends with store
décor,”
says Anthony Oliver, USS’ chief technology officer. “It offers a lot of
features, such as jammer alarm, near-tag alarm, energy-saving mode and an
integrated people counter, to name just a few. Because it does not touch the
floor, it poses no trip hazard for shoppers, and its acrylic sides can even
be
used for displaying advertizing.”
“One of the best features of the Blade system is that it is compatible with
our
TechConnect remote access program,” says Doug McHose, president of USS.
“With
TechConnect, USS service engineers can remotely tune and troubleshoot the
pedestals, reducing the number of times a technician needs to be dispatched
on
location. This offers significant savings in both time and money to our
customers because the service hours are kept to a minimum.”
“Four retailers are already using the Blade system,” says Marc Trincale,
R&D
manager at USS. “The feedback has been very positive, and we are very
excited to
now offer it to a wider market.”
