Axis recently announced new additions to each of its camera product lines (M, P and Q), ranging from discreet and cost effective fixed domes to high performance cameras for challenging lighting environments. AXIS Q1615/-E cameras not only offer full HDTV 1080p resolution, but also automatically switch settings between high dynamic scenes and Lightfinder mode, ensuring all details are captured in both dark and bright areas (see video). The indoor and outdoor-ready cameras feature new WDR – Forensic Capture technology, electronic image stabilization and shock detection for improved image usability. AXIS P39-R Series offers protection against dust and water and is able to withstand tough conditions such as vibrations, shocks, bumps and temperature fluctuations commonly found in transportation applications. The new compact, rugged and discreet cameras are specially designed for surveillance in buses, trains, subway cars and other vehicular environments and feature Traffic Light mode to help better distinguish colors of traffic lights in very dark scenes.
