Lincolnton, NC Woman Faces Felony Charge for Shoplifting at Kohl's
27-year-old Amber Sue Lawson of Bexley Lane in Lincolnton was arrested by Hickory Police shortly before 11 o’clock Wednesday night on one felony count of defeating an anti-shoplifting device and one misdemeanor count of larceny. Items including jewelry, cosmetics and scarves were taken. Loss Prevention found tags from the stolen items in a pair of shorts in the dressing room and also found the electronic anti-theft devices there. It’s not clear if all the stolen merchandise was recovered. (Source whky.com)

Opelika, Alabama Police seek Best Buy thieves in $7,000 theft  Opelika Police are looking for three thieves who took $7,039 worth of electronics from Best Buy on Tiger Town Parkway. Police said the thefts occurred sometime between 12:09 p.m. and 12:31 p.m. on April 21 at 2147 Tiger Town Parkway. Items stolen from store shelves include four cameras, three camcorders, four computer tablets, two Mac books, one iPad and a Kindle. (Source ledger-enquirer.com)


Montgomery Twp., PA Police seek info on Ulta Beauty cologne theft suspect  Montgomery Township police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a retail theft that took place at the Ulta Beauty store at 1221 Knapp Road in North Wales April 15. Police said the suspect stole Gucci Cologne and was seen leaving the area in a charcoal-colored SUV with a Pennsylvania registration. (Source theintell.com)




Armed Shoplifters Arrested following a Police chase and crash in Charles County, Maryland  Police arrested two people for shoplifting from a store at the St. Charles Town Center and then trying to run away from authorities. The incident happened on April 30 around 2:00 p.m. at a department store. When Police got to the scene, they were able to spot the car the suspect fled in. When Police tried to stop the car, the driver tried to leave, striking a car. The suspect, Jacob Sbeitan, then continued south struck a guardrail which propelled his vehicle into three cars at the intersection. Sbeitan appeared to be armed with a gun, jumped out of the vehicle and attempted to carjack someone who was stopped at a stop sign. After he was unable to do that, he tried to run away on foot. Officials had to use a TASER and were able to arrest Sbeitan. (Source smnewsnet.com)
