CAP INDEX ANNOUNCES 2011 CANADIAN RISK DATABASE
Updated Statistics Provide Most Accurate
Portrait of Crime Risk Available
CAP Index, Inc., the world leader in crime vulnerability and loss prevention
analytics, today introduced the 2011 Canadian version of its comprehensive
CRIMECAST® database.
Designed to accurately identify the risk of personal and property crimes at a
specific location, CRIMECAST products are derived from an advanced evaluation
system. Last year’s passage of Bill 168 mandated employers to conduct an
assessment of the risk of workplace violence, making the CRIMECAST database an
essential component of Canadian security strategy.
“CRIMECAST data effectively assists organizations in ranking and comparing
multiple locations, site selection, security resource allocation, litigation and
underwriting,” said Jon D. Groussman, President and Chief Operating Officer of
CAP Index. “With the 2011 update, our Canadian clients can be confident that
they have the most up-to-the-minute information by which to design and evaluate
their safety and security platforms.”
The 2011 version of CRIMECAST also includes the CAPremium Report, which provides
two crime risk maps – standard and expansive – as well as the Proximity
Analysis, which provides a summary of points of interest within a user-defined
radius. The database also contains interactive mapping functions and a Uniform
Crime Reporting Survey.
