and CEO Steve Davis to Keynote Restaurant Loss Prevention & Security Association

January 27, 2014 – The Restaurant Loss Prevention & Security Association (RLPSA)
is pleased to announce that Steven A. Davis, Chairman and CEO, Bob Evans Farms,
will serve as a keynote at its 35th Annual Conference, August 4, in Orlando.
RLPSA is the leading trade association for loss prevention, security, safety and
risk management professionals in the QSR and chain restaurant industry.
“We are honored to be able to feature an industry leader with the unique
background of Steve Davis,” said Jim Forlenza, Executive Director, RLPSA. “Mr.
Davis is the first executive from the casual dining segment to speak to our
audience. I know our members are greatly anticipating his presence.”

Bob Evans owns and operates 561 restaurants in 19 states. As leader of Bob Evans
Farms, Mr. Davis leads the strategic, nationwide growth of the company,
including both restaurant and food retail operations. Davis also serves on
various Boards of Directors, including the Walgreen Co., and Marathon Petroleum
Corporation. Community service and economic development are also important to
Mr. Davis, who also serves on the Board of JobsOhio, the Executive Committee of
Ohio Business Roundtable, and on the Columbus Partnership, which focuses on the
region’s economic development.
He was honored with the first INROADS National Leadership Award in March 2011.
In 2012, he was honored by the African American and African Studies Community
Extension Center at The Ohio State University with the William E. Nelson
Community Warrior Award for Business for his efforts in advancing the role of
African Americans in Columbus. In 2005, Black Enterprise Magazine named Davis as
one of the 75 Most Powerful Black Men in American Business and in 2013, he was
featured on the magazine’s Black Enterprise Magazine’s Registry of Corporate
Directors list, which highlights black board members from the 250 largest
companies on the S&P 500.

RLSPA will host its 35th Annual Conference, August 3-6, 2014, at the Caribe
Royale Hotel in Orlando. In addition to keynote presenters, the event features
educational sessions and workshops, roundtables, exhibits, scheduled
practitioner/vendor meetings, and a host of entertaining networking functions.
Topics will range from social media and emerging technologies to EBR and
skimming and fraud. The education program will highlight speakers from the
restaurant and food service industry, presenting real-world topics and best
practices, offering a host of solutions and insights for everyday situations.
RLPSA will be announcing other major industry speakers over the next several
months.
RLPSA is the nation’s only trade association dedicated to loss prevention,
security and risk management professionals in the restaurant industry. The RLPSA
