The Orlando "Drag Queens"
reported on earlier this week in the Daily, who were apprehended this past
Sunday shoplifting from a Jo Ann Fabrics store in Orlando and who were stealing
fabrics, feather boas, lace gloves, and other accessories worth thousands of
dollars, have been linked to a string of Central Florida stores. They are part
of a larger group of transvestites who "terrorize fabric and hobby retailers" in
that area and have been for over a year. "It's a whole gang of drag queens,"
Amanda Marshall, manager of Jo-Ann Fabrics. When confronted by staff Sunday,
one suspect swore at a clerk and threatened to cut her before attempting to flee
the scene.
