CLEAR Cancels Annual Training
Conference
By
Ben Dugan, CLEAR President
For the first time in our eleven-year history, the National Coalition of Law
Enforcement and Retail (C.L.E.A.R.) will cancel its annual training conference
due to national concerns regarding the COVID-19 public health crisis. We have
been closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19, and the unpredictability of
the virus, and the fact that there may be a second wave in the fall, make it
impossible to plan the event and keep everyone safe.
We want to express our sincerest gratitude to our members fighting on the front
lines against this pandemic. From setting up COVID-19 testing sites, securing
Ports with cruise ships full of victims, to providing food and necessities to
the public, C.L.E.A.R. members are answering the call in communities nationwide.
Aligned with our commitment to provide training to the Law Enforcement and
Retail communities, we look to digital opportunities — today, we are very
excited to announce our partnership with the
Global Retail Crime
Summit presented by
Auror.
